Ok everybody. Here is some information on your final exam. I still have to finish designing them but will give you the basic layout.
Both the Level 2 and Honors classes will have a number of
  • Scantron questions that will be multiple choice, true/false, etc. The approximage number is still to be determined.
  • Reading comprehension sections that may include short readings on topics from WW2, The Cold War, Civil Rights, the 70's, 80's and 90's, etc.
  • Maps on things like WW2, The Cold War (Germany and Berlin, the Korean War, The Vietnam War)
  • Famous People from The Great Depression, WW2, and the Cold War (Yes this includes the Presidents FDR, Truman, Ike, JFK, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan)
  • Terms to identify from the Cold War only (Honors will be identifying terms, Level 2 will be "filling in the blank")
  • Political Cartoons and some Dates
  • One Essay (This will be true for both Level 2 and Honors) See below for your essays.

Civil Rights-

Honors Essay: There will be two primary source documents (from two presidents inaugural speeches)...you will be reading them and writing a compare/contrast essay.

Level 2: Essay....Compare the home front in the US during WW2 with the home front during the Cold War. Use an introduction and conclusion and make sure to include at a minimum, 10 specific facts in your description.
Level 3: Your final will also cover the Great Depression, WW2 and the Cold War/Civil Rights...including Vietnam and the presidents.
  • There will be a scantron portion, fill in the blanks, terms to identify, political cartoons and propaganda posters, Presidents in order, a reading comprehension and several short answers. There will also be a basic map of East/West Germany and Vietnam.
  • There will be 20 terms from all units to be announced.
  • There will be a brief timeline on Vietnam-
